The Canon EOS C-Mount Adapter was specially developed by STI and is a unique and exclusive product offering. The adapter is designed to attach Canon EOS lenses to camcorders and video cameras which accept a standard c-mount male thread ( 1" x 32 TPI). The depth of the adapter has been carefully engineered to guarantee that infinity focus is reached on EOS lenses. The backfocus distance of EOS lenses is standardized at 44.00 mm as measured from the front of the camera ring to the ccd chip (or film rail). The standard backfocus of video cameras is specified at 17.5mm. Thus, the width of this c-mount adapter, after attachment, has been limited to 23 mm which will guarantee focus with even those video cameras which may be out of spec. The front diameter of the mount is 65 mm.
The adapter is manufactured of 6061 aluminum and has a black hard anodized finish. It may be easily remachined for custom applications.
